Together with UNITE, Sanika elaborated a new generation of bathrooms: a bathroom with extremely lightweight design. The role of Sanika was to elaborate a technical solution on a given design, which obviously needed to comply with the standards and regulations in England. The bathroom should include a wash hand basin, a toilet and a shower. These functions should be combined in the most limited space, but still keeping an appealing look, while being as light as possible. After 1 year of intensive cooperation between UNITE and Sanika the new bathroom was presented on the market: the LBU (Lightweight Bathroom Unit). Through the combination of different materials and techniques (GRP, ABS, PU-foam, wood, laminated steel, etc.), Sanika was able to achieve the specifications and style requested by UNITE.
